WEYMOUTH manager Mark Molesley stressed the need for the Terras to keep “fully focusing” internally ahead of a Vanarama National League South contest with Billericay tomorrow (3pm).

Molesley’s men are chasing back-to-back victories after last week’s heroic 3-2 comeback win at Hampton & Richmond.

Victory in south London cemented fourth place, narrowing the gap to second side Slough and third-placed Havant by two points.

With Weymouth well inside the play-off positions, Molesley called for the Terras to remain “cool” and stay concentrated on the mechanics of their game which have yielded success to date.

He told Echosport: “We’re at that stage of the season now where you’ve got to keep your cool and try and be as consistent as you can.

“We’ve got to keep our feet on the ground and keep fully focusing on our processes, which has served us quite well so far.

“We’ve got to believe in the way we do things and do everything we can to try and get a result.

“These games never get any easier, they get more difficult. Billericay are probably in a false position with quite a few games in hand.

“They were right up there at the start of the season and had a bit of a reshuffle down there.

“They’re going to be a hard one to work out this week because they haven’t played for a few weeks and have signed quite a few new players.

“It’s going to be difficult to gauge what they might do, but if we focus on ourselves and get our bit right, you’ve always got a chance.”

On Billericay, who sit 19th with as many as five games in hand on some teams, Molesley added: “I am surprised where they are.

“They were operating on a full-time model at the start of the season under the old regime. They’ve had to scale it back quite a lot.

“I still think they’ve got a very good team, a very good manager (Jamie O’Hara) down there so they’re going to be a very difficult outfit.

“I don’t envisage them being down there too much longer, so we’ll show them the respect they deserve but, more importantly, put our game onto them.”

Cameron Murray is due to have an operation on a compartment syndrome issue, while Weymouth continue to assess other injured players including Jordan Ngalo and Andy Robinson.
