BALTI Sports’ manager Marco Nott expects a “high-scoring” game during the Weymouth side’s Dorset Premier League trip to the Fortress to face Corfe Castle tomorrow (2pm).

Corfe Castle’s ground has been anything but a fortress for the hosts this season, who have lost half of their 10 home league games, conceding 28 goals.

Historically, games between the teams have boasted a high number of goals, with last campaign producing a 4-3 Balti home win and a 3-3 thriller at Corfe.

Nott told Echosport: “They’re a funny team. Every time we play them it’s three-all or 4-3.

“We’ve had some mad results against them. They’re quite dangerous going forward but they do concede goals – it’ll probably be a high-scoring game.”

Asked how he’d keep Corfe’s 17-goal top scorer Courtney Johnstone quiet, Nott said: “Every time we go there we concede stupid goals.

“We’ve got to make sure we don’t take them lightly. We’ve got to be more ruthless.”

Balti have a dilemma in midfield with Charlie Kenderdine suspended. Ethan Devaney plus Sammy Nichols are unavailable.

Che Curran is also doubtful through work commitments, while Scott Walker is unavailable. Centre-back Lloyd Beals returns.

Nott said: “(The reserves) haven’t got a game, so we might use a couple of them. Hopefully we’ve got Che but we’ve definitely got Lloyd back, which is good.

“If we can get Che and Lloyd back it won’t be as bad as it sounds, but there’s going to be juggling around again.”
