DORCHESTER step straight back into Wadworth Dorset & Wilts One South league action, travelling away to Blandford, tomorrow (2.30pm).

The Highwood-sponsored team will be keen to put the disappointment of losing the Southern Counties Vase at Milton Keynes behind them and keep their unbeaten league record on track.

Sitting top of the league and with the opposition in fourth place, coach Martin Oxland will be keen to field a strong team to get back to winning ways and increase the gap on second-placed Weymouth & Portland who Dorchester face at Surcouf Park in the Ridgeway Rumble next weekend.

Captain James Newsam and last weekend’s hat-trick scorer, vice-captain Callum King, will be sure to keep positive and lift the players from the final disappointment.

Dorchester’s A XV take on Ellingham & Ringwood at home in their league fixture and, having not played for four weeks, captain Matt Fry will want nothing less than a home win against the side three places above them in the league table.

Sunday sees the club’s youth and minis section with a full program, with the under-sevens, under-10s and under-14s all training at home and the under-16s locking horns with Weymouth at Surcouf Park.

Meanwhile, the under-nines, under-11s, under-12s and under-15s all travel to Lytchett Minster, with the under-13s heading to Melksham for a Dorset &Wilts cup fixture.

The combined Ridgeway Roses side take on Yeovil Ladies at Weymouth’s Monmouth Avenue having lost out in recent weeks to the weather (2.30pm).
