WEYMOUTH’S Mark Molesley is targeting “silverware in the cabinet” as the Terras travel to enemies Dorchester Town for their Dorset Senior Cup final tonight (7.45pm).

As manager, Molesley has already won two trophies in the last 12 months with the Southern Premier South title plus the gigantic Southern League shield.

And the Terras are looking to add a third after Saturday’s stunning 5-1 demolition of Maidstone who, 12 months ago, were in the National League.

Speaking to Echosport, Molesley is relishing the contest and believes the occasion will whet the claret and blue army’s appetite.

He said: “There’s no getting away from it, there’s a cup final and we’ll be trying to put our best foot forward to try and win.

“We go to win every game we play in, and this will certainly be no different. This is a good chance to get a bit of silverware in the cabinet.

“I’m sure it’ll whet the appetite of the fans with the rivalry. We all miss the derbies, we haven’t had too many (this season).

“Our fans have had to clock up a lot of miles but for (the final) they haven’t got to go too far.

“Hopefully they’ll turn out in their numbers again and drive us to win.”

Molesley hinted defender Ashley Wells is likely to play a part for Weymouth, having been previously on loan at Dorchester this campaign.

Andy Robinson and Jack Hoey could continue their comebacks from injury, with the Terras expected to rotate their squad as with previous rounds.
