PORTLAND United will be targeting a fifth consecutive victory in all competitions when the Blues travel to AFC Portchester tomorrow (3pm).
Brendon King’s men sit 10th ahead of the Sydenhams Wessex Premier Division clash but have seen their form drastically improve in recent weeks.
The islanders began the run with a 3-1 win at Amesbury Town, backing the three points up with a 2-0 win at Bournemouth Poppies.
Portland thumped Brockenhurst 5-1 on Saturday and reinforced it with a 6-1 thrashing of Totton & Eling in the League Cup quarter-finals – Ryan McKechnie hitting hat-tricks in each game.
Portland have previous with Portchy, having beaten them 2-1 earlier in the season.
On that occasion, Alex Halloran scored a double, outweighing Owen Fee’s strike.
For the visit to Portchester, who currently sit in third, Portland will miss Shaun Bessant after his red card on Saturday.
