DESPITE appalling weather, Westbourne Running Club’s Peter Dousey won the Weymouth Bay 10k in just over 40 minutes.
Coming home in just over 40 minutes, Dousey beat Royal Manor Portland’s Damian Hayward and last year’s winner Dan Woolley, also of Portland.
Royal Manor’s Francesca Alford won the women’s race in 47:44 with Weymouth’s Vicky Stancer second ahead of Clifton RC’s Shona Blaney.
Royal Manor Portland took the team prize for the third time in four years.
Race director Mark Caswell would like to thank Weymouth Council and the Riviera Hotel for helping make the run a success.
