WEYMOUTH boss Mark Molesley explained the Terras will “constantly review” methods of training during the coronavirus shutdown.

The Terras’ squad has been given fitness programmes to combat the loss of twice-weekly group training sessions.

Molesley has tasked his players to remain as fit as possible while the “indefinitely” suspended National League searches for a way to complete its three divisions.

He told Echosport: “Everything’s changing daily, no-one knows what to expect, what’s going to happen or the best way to go forward.

“We’ll constantly review it. We’ve given the lads some ideas and they’ve got some training programmes to be doing at home by themselves.

“No-one knows what’s going to happen with the season and the decision’s going to have to be made soon because we won’t want to be going too long without training, that’s for sure.”

Asked if there was a danger of the enforced break becoming a second pre-season, Molesley said: “Yeah, and it looks like it will be changing.

“It’s a difficult one. We’ll respect the authorities and do everything the right way. We have to, because health is the most important thing.

“Not many things are more important than football, but health is. We’ll stick to the guidelines and respect them.

“But, as soon as we’re allowed to, we’ll be back training as quick as we can.”
