PORTLAND United boss Brendon King conceded the Blues need to “address” adding players to their defence with Ed Bastick and James Cox set to leave.
Bastick, more renowned as a winger, has been stationed at right-back for Portland this season, while Cox has cemented his place at left-back with a series of impressive displays.
Bastick will leave the Weyline Stadium to embark on a new career at the Metropolitan Police, while Cox is due to join the Royal Navy.
Speaking to Echosport, King insisted he would bide his time until after the coronavirus pandemic is over before beginning the recruitment process.
He said: “We haven’t had much communication with the players, it’s still early days.
“Once we can get together, sit down and have a chat, we’ll see where we’re at with players in their futures and what’s going to happen with everybody.
“It’s obviously two positions we will need to address, for sure.”
