MARK Molesley has drifted in the odds to become the next Southend United manager.
Bookmakers placed the Weymouth boss as 1/5 favourite this morning until Barnet manager Darren Currie left the Bees.
The Southend Echo this week reported on Currie's elimination from the race to succeed Sol Campbell as the Shrimpers' gaffer. Southend remain cold on Currie.
But gambling firms have this afternoon priced Currie in at 11/8 having previously been only 9/1.
Molesley is still seen as Southend's number one choice, with the Blues falling back on under-23s boss Craig Fagan if the Terras' boss decides against moving to Roots Hall.
Weymouth earlier confirmed to Echosport the former Bournemouth midfielder could make a decision on his future by 5pm today.
