WEYMOUTH have unveiled the signings of experienced centre-back Myles Anderson and winger Alefe Santos.

Former Hartlepool defender Anderson, 30, has also played at Blackburn and Aberdeen, counting Italian clubs Chievo and Monza on his appearance list.

Former Leyton Orient youth player Anderson enjoyed a brief loan spell at Aldershot before ending his two-year stay at Hartlepool this summer.

Anderson shot to national prominence in lockdown as his 'Move With Myles' campaign raised over £10,000 for the NHS by May.

Speaking to uptheterras.co.uk, Anderson described Weymouth as a "humble and positive" club.

He said: "I’m absolutely delighted to have signed for Weymouth. I’m excited to join a positive and humble environment.

“I will be looking to work hard to help the club and this group of players, staff and fans to add to the success that they have already experienced and achieved over the last couple of seasons. I can’t wait to get started.”

Anderson is the Terras' second new signing of the close season after striker Cody Cooke joined on Friday.

Santos, meanwhile, left Brazil as a youth player and has had stints at Yeovil, Stoke, Derby and Bristol Rovers.

He made 23 appearances in the National League for Aldershot last season.
