DORCHESTER Town have added Plymouth Argyle striker Rubin Wilson to their ranks.

Wilson signs on a three-month youth loan from the League Two side, with Dorchester fending off competition for his signature.

The highly-rated Cornish striker, 18, signed his first professional contract with Argyle over the summer having come up through the youth ranks at Home Park.

Wilson has been a regular scorer for the Pilgrims' under-18 and Central League teams before making his first-team debut last season.

Wilson impressed for the Magpies in the 0-0 draw against Bristol Rovers under-23s on Friday.

Elaborating on the capture of Wilson, first-team coach Robbie Herrera said: “Rubin is a player I know well from our time together at Plymouth Argyle.

"He is a goalscorer that came into his own last season.

“His overall game has improved significantly and playing at this level of football is another step in his development.”

Wilson will compete with Dorchester strikers Tom Bath, Emile Ngoy and Jordan Rogers for a place up front.
