FOUR young superstars have raised £350 for a new community defibrillator by baking and selling cakes.

Molly, Isla, Molly and Isabel have raised the money for the potentially life-saving medical equipment at Dorchester Cricket Club.

Every Saturday morning the baking heroines sell their sweet treats at youth cricket training.

Thanks to their hard work, roughly one sixth of the target has been raised and a little help from the public will help get the club over the line to get the defibrillator in place before the end of the year.

The defibrillator will be stationed on the Dorchester Rec pavilion and can be used by all community members in case of an emergency.

The AED machine costs £2,000 and, with various fundraising going on, the club has around £900 in total.

Anyone wishing to join the club or donate to the fund will be very welcome. Contact booktherec@gmail.com for further details.
