DORCHESTER Town boss Leigh Robinson was dismayed at not collecting three points after the Magpies’ 0-0 draw with Wimborne Town.
However, Robinson siphoned positives from the result as Dorchester recorded their clean sheet and point of the Pitching In Southern Premier South campaign.
He told Echosport: “We kept a clean sheet but we’re disappointed not to get three (points).
“We showed plenty of intent. We couldn’t have given it more of a go if we’d tried.
“The system we played, the attacking intent and the substitutions we made, we just couldn’t get over the line.
“The second half wasn’t as good as maybe it should’ve been but if we came off the pitch with a delfected goal, 1-0, we’re really happy,
“People might look at it and say it’s two points dropped.
“Realistically other than a bit of luck or one bit of composure in the box we’re looking at three points.
“Certainly there were some positives. It’s not fantastic but not a disaster either.”
