DORCHESTER Town have secured the loan signings of striker Olaf Koszela and defender Louie Slough from Torquay United.

Both men join the Magpies on one-month loans and could make their debuts against Salisbury at the Avenue Stadium on Saturday (3pm).

Dorchester first-team coach Robbie Herrera said: “Olaf and Louie are players I know well from our time together at Torquay's Academy.

"Both of them have come through their system and progressed through as first-year professionals.

“Olaf is a forward that plays with lots of energy and is composed in front of goal and Louie is a left-sided defender that will give us balance – he is comfortable in possession and makes good use of the ball.

“Both have been in Torquay’s squad for first-team games this season with Olaf getting game time recently.

“This is the next stage of their development to be playing regular competitive football at a level which will test them both physically and mentally.

“I know these players personally but they also come highly recommended by Aaron Downes (Torquay assistant-manager).”

Koszela made his debut for the Gulls in November 2018 and scored his first senior goal for the Devon outfit against Chippenham Town.

Slough has had less match exposure than Koszela after signing permanently at the end of the 2019/20 pre-season campaign.

His addition to the Dorchester squad covers the loss of Sam Poole to Portland United.

Dorchester are looking to return to winning ways following last week's 2-0 defeat at Swindon Supermarine.

Leigh Robinson's Magpies currently occupy 16th in the Pitching In Southern Premier South table.
