DORCHESTER Rugby Club’s new commercial partner has funded 100 new balls for the county town side’s growing junior section.

JP Free Ltd has stepped in to aid the youngsters, providing each age group with new training and match balls.

With COVID guidelines in place for equipment cleansing this season, it was even more important to have the correct number per team.

Dorchester have a growing youth membership of around 350 ranging from under-six age groups up to colts at under-18s.

In recent times the club has seen some of its youth section move on to academies in professional clubs and international caps at age group level.

Club chairman Tony Foot said: “We are very grateful to James for agreeing to fund the new balls we need this season, and we will be seeing more of him and his team when we get back to senior rugby too.

“Once we return to normal games for our senior teams, JP Free will become more involved with us commercially, and we look forward to working together with him.”

All age groups of the junior section are now back training once a week, with the hope in the very near future of some “Ready4Rugby” fixtures with other local clubs resuming.
