DORCHESTER Sports will monitor the availability of goalkeeper Nick Hutchings on a “week-by-week” basis.
Former Dorchester Town and Poole Town gloveman Hutchings has played 90 minutes for Sports in their past two games.
Hutchings came in after a knee injury to regular keeper Antony Frost, who is expected to be out for at least another two weeks.
Speaking to Echosport, boss Ashley James revealed he is yet to hold talks to extend Hutchings’ stay deeper into the season.
“We still haven’t had a proper conversation,” he said.
“We’ll just take it week by week, as long as Nick’s enjoying it. Antony’s still two or three weeks away.
“Nick’s playing in goal but we haven’t put a time on it.
“It all depends whether Nick wants to travel.
“He’s a big plus for us at the back because he commands the defence. He makes a massive difference with his communication.
“He hasn’t really had much to do, but his leadership at the back and how good he is with his feet, he’s like an extra defender. We’re lucky to have him.”
