BLANDFORD United have begun the hunt for a new manager.

The Royals have been without a permanent boss since Jamie Haylock stepped down due to personal reasons in November after three years at the helm.

In a statement posted on social media, Blandford stressed their desire for “time and dedication” from the successful candidate.

Haylock himself encouraged applications, adding: “Great setup, great support of the pitch, but even better players who will work their socks off for you.

“A great opportunity for anyone looking for a progressive team to play in front of over 100 fans every week.”

Blandford are currently seventh in the Dorset Premier League but could rise to third should they win their two games in hand.

United are away to Stalbridge in the Dorset Senior Trophy second round on Saturday (1.30pm) in their first game since lockdown.

Any prospective managers must send their applications to fwbbr@aol.com by Friday, December 11.
