Brian Stock said that Tuesday nights clash against Dagenham and Redbridge has almost become a must win game when looking at the Terras position in the table.

Weymouth had succumbed to a heavy 5-1 defeat to Halifax on Saturday evening, with Stock critical of his side in they way they had started the game. “It was a disappointing start” Stock Said. “We gifted Halifax two goals, one through not clearing and one for being unorganised.”

The Terras looked to get back into the game after half time, with Josh McQuoid scoring. However, Weymouth could not consolidate a comeback as Gevaro Nepumoceno scored a third. Stock said “The reaction at half time that we asked for was there, evident for everyone to see. The third goal knocked the stuffing out of the players.” They then conceded two more.

Stock had changed the formation from a four at the back, to a three, with Ollie Harfield and Calvin Brooks playing wing back. “We have the legs of Ollie and Calvin to get forward, players that can get up and down.” He continued saying that “when in possession we looked okay, but out of possession we allowed them too much time on the ball.”

Harfield had a chance to score within the first minute of the game. “goals change games.” Stock said. “If we’d have got the first goal, the whole game changes.” He reiterated the need to tighten up defensively, saying “When going forward, we have to lock the back door.”
