DORCHESTER Town are still in the dark over a return to league action as they await the Government's tier system review.
This morning, Southern League officials welcomed the return of fans to some Tier Three clubs in divisions elsewhere in the country.
The statement from the Trident Leagues arrives amid the pause in play for Step 3 and 4 sides.
But league chiefs will only act after the Government unveils its review of the current tier layout on Wednesday.
"The Trident Leagues (the Isthmian, Northern Premier and Southern Football Leagues) welcome the decision to allow some fans into grounds situated in Tier 3 areas," the statement read.
"However, in light of the decision of all 224 clubs only last week to vote overwhelmingly in favour of suspending the current season, the leagues have decided to wait to see the implications of the Government’s review of the tier system in England – due on Wednesday - before making any further announcements."
Dorchester Town are among the clubs suffering the freeze in action, but have scheduled friendlies with Exmouth and Moneyfields for tomorrow (7.30pm) and Saturday (3pm) respectively.
