DORCHESTER Town face a reunion with former skipper Kevin Hill as the Magpies host ninth-division Exmouth Town in a mid-season friendly tonight (7.30pm).

Hill, current Exmouth boss, joined the Magpies initially on loan in 2008 and enjoyed a 64-game spell at the Avenue, ending in 2010.

Hill is the all-time record appearance maker for Torquay United with 474 matches for the Gulls under his belt.

And incumbent Dorchester manager Robbie Herrera is relishing the meeting against Hill – arranged due to a pause in their respective league seasons.

He told Echosport: “It’s a tough little fixture, he’s a good friend of mine, Kevin, and he’s well known to Dorchester fans.

“It’ll be a competitive fixture. We need to keep our group together – we’re improving and getting better.

“There’s still a lot of work to be done and possibly a couple of new faces and maybe some leaving.

“(Exmouth) will be a test for the players because in their own right they’re a decent side.

“It will prove to be a decent contest.”

Dorchester secured the services of centre-back Sam Davidson from Wimborne, although he will miss the clash with an ankle injury.

Harry Hodges (Achilles) remains sidelined for two weeks after picking up his knock in training.

Torquay loan duo Olaf Koszela and Louie Slough could feature, along with Weymouth loanee Harry Burns.

Following Exmouth, Dorchester will host a friendly with Moneyfields on Saturday (3pm).
