WEYMOUTH have moved to sign goalkeeper Ethan Ross on loan from Lincoln City after Jack Bycroft’s loan from Southampton expired.
Bycroft made 14 starts and kept two clean sheets in a positive spell with the Terras, making a number of top-quality saves, notably at Wealdstone.
However, the Saints’ loanee was at fault for Wrexham’s stoppage-time winner as the Red Dragons won 3-2, despite being 2-0 down after 73 minutes.
Ross signed before Weymouth’s derby with Yeovil last night.
The 23-year-old joined League One side Lincoln from Colchester after emerging from the youth setup at Arsenal and Cambridge United.
Weymouth director of football Paul Maitland told uptheterras.co.uk: “Jack impressed during his time at the club and is undoubtedly a very highly-rated young prospect who looks set have a great career in the game.
“We wish him all the best for the future.”
