WEYMOUTH Cricket Club remain on the hunt for a new main sponsor following the Seasiders’ AGM.

Weymouth’s committee has devised a structured plan with three tiers of sponsorship, ranging from one-off matchday packages to a full-season deal.

The Seasiders managed to come through the Covid-19 affected 2020 campaign unscathed financially, with the first team finishing sixth in the revised Division Two.

For the 2021 campaign, the Redlands-based team hope to return to the standard 18-match season and the normal 10-team layout of County Division One.

During the annual general meeting, all club officials were re-elected as Harry Mitchell continues the first-team captaincy.

Club chairman Simon Browne stays put for 2021, while Tom Reed will balance secretary and treasurer duties.

Reed will take a back seat on his second-team skipper role due to family commitments, with the Seasiders targeting a replacement.
