WEYMOUTH boss Brian Stock has urged his squad players to keep “fighting” ahead of tonight’s trip to Boreham Wood (7.45pm).

Stock has had the luxury of naming the same starting XI in the past three games, picking up wins against Hartlepool and Aldershot before Saturday’s 1-0 loss to Notts County.

While continuity in the line-up has yielded six points for the Terras, Stock knows the entire squad will have a significant role to play.

He told Echosport: “That’s the third game in a row I’ve been able to field the same team. As a manager, that’s an ideal scenario.

“When you look at the starting 11 it’s important that the 15 that aren’t are doing some sort of work, that they feel a part of it.

“I know when the 11 walks onto the pitch, it’s what’s behind that really makes them tick.”

Stock’s philosophy of a high press and possession game has started to come to fruition.

On the Terras’ progress following the Notts County game, he said: “One of the biggest things I like is for us to be professional, with desire and that never-say-die attitude.

“We’ve almost equalised and on another day we probably would’ve won the game.

“Don’t get me wrong, they’re a very good side. They’re up there with Torquay in terms of one of the best sides we’ve played this year. I’m really proud of the players.”

Weymouth will monitor the fitness of Calvin Brooks and Josh McQuoid after a heavy workload in recent matches.

Josh Leslie-Smith (concussion) is the only doubt having just returned to light training.
