WEYMOUTH have been forced to postpone their Vanarama National League clash with Boreham Wood tonight due to a frozen pitch.

The Terras were due to kick-off at 7.45pm but sub-zero temperatures at the Bob Lucas Stadium led to a failed morning pitch inspection.

Icy winds of up to 50mph plus an ambient temperature hovering around freezing had led to 'feels like' forecasts of minus nine degrees celsius this evening.

No date for fulfilment of the fixture has been set.

Weymouth were hoping to build on promising form that has seen them capture three wins from five league games.

Brian Stock's men next tackle Maidenhead United away in the league on Saturday (3pm).
