DORCHESTER Town skipper Ashley Wells admitted he got a telling off from manager Robbie Herrera – despite scoring in the 8-0 friendly win over Exmouth.
Wells scored a rare goal after unleashing a sweet strike inside the box against their ninth-tier opponents.

The effort took his Dorchester tally to two after netting during a loan spell last season.
Talking through his latest goal, Wells told Echosport: “(Robbie) tells me off for it!
“He doesn’t like me getting forward and wants me to be the cog at the back that sits there and breaks things up.
“I looked to him when I scored and said: ‘That’s why I should be towards the goal’.
“You won’t see many of them from me. When I do score it’s usually a good one, but you’re going to be waiting.
“I scored last year when I was on loan, a header, so I’m doing all right.
“I’ve scored two in two seasons – I’ll take that!”
