BRIAN Stock dropped Joan Luque as the Terras thumped Wealdstone 4-0 on Saturday, explaining the decision was due to “below par” performances.

Attacking midfielder Luque, a former Barcelona youth product, joined from Maidstone United in January.

But the Spaniard is yet to find the back of the net in eight appearances for the Terras.

Consequently, he was dropped entirely from the selection of 16 players – despite starting the previous two matches against Wrexham and Dagenham.

Stock told Echosport: “It’s a frustrating one for Luque because he’s a fantastic footballer, I see it day in, day out in training.

“I just felt that his last two performances have been below-par and I felt Jordan Ngalo deserved the chance to come in, being left out of the squad through no fault of his own.”
