REDLANDS will welcome a renowned coach from Portsmouth for two days of their Easter Soccer School.

Alex Stylianou, who works at Pompey’s academy and has previous fulfilled identical roles at Ipswich Town and Colchester, will take sessions for the Rebels on Monday, April 5 and the following day.

Stylianou has impressive credentials including being a UEFA A licence candidate, together with PGDip Sports Performance Analysis and MSc Sports Science & Performance Coaching pedigree. He also runs Competitive Zone.

He said: “I am a highly driven individual with an insurmountable passion for football and youth development. I aim to instill that hunger and passion to the players I interact with.

“I aim to bring a contemporary approach to football through my sessions and practices.

“Competitive Zone are committed to developing confident, determined and brave individuals through the coaching approach and style.

“All practices are delivered within a highly competitive and mentally stimulating environment.

“The sessions are geared towards providing a fun, exciting and challenging environment with plenty of goal-scoring and decision making opportunities.”

Redlands’ Easter Soccer School is for boys and girls of all abilities aged five to 13 years.

Week one takes place at Top Club, Littlemoor at 9am to 1pm on Monday, April 5 to Friday, April 9.

Week two follows from Monday 12th to 16th.

Children should bring shin pads, a packed lunch and plenty to drink.

Normal cost will be £5 per child per day, however Stylianou’s two sessions will be £7.50.

From today, Redlands will be running two brand new Tuesday evening girls football sessions commencing at Top Club.

All abilities are welcome, with the 4-5pm session for five to six-year-olds and the 5-6pm session for seven to 10-year-olds.

The Rebels will also run sessions for boys and girls for under-eights and under-nines at Top Club on Wednesday from 4-6pm.

On Thursday from 4-5pm, under-10s are catered for, with under-11s from 5-6pm at Top Club.

Elsewhere, Redlands are searching for under-14 girls to join their Rebels and Bandits sides in the Dorset Youth Football League.

Under-16 girls are also invited to join Redlands, who are the current County Cup champions and play in the Hampshire Girls League.

This week, three sessions of Redlands FC Young Rebels Football for five to eight-year-olds takes place at Top Club.

Boys and girls of all abilities are welcome.

Sessions are from 5-6pm and 6-7pm on Good Friday, plus 10-11am on Easter Sunday.

Toddler sessions for two-and-a-half to four-year-olds resumes from 9-10am on Easter Sunday.
