WEYMOUTH boss Brian Stock called for his Terras side to be “relentless” when Barnet visit the Bob Lucas Stadium in the Vanarama National League today (3pm).

Stock has overseen consecutive away victories for the first time this season as the Terras defeated Maidenhead 1-0 and Woking 4-2.

The wins were Weymouth’s third and fourth on the road ahead of a return to home pastures where the claret and blues have collected six wins from 18 league games.

They face a Barnet team who have bounced back from poor form in recent weeks with eight points in five games.

However, the Bees – who last week signed Weymouth-born goalkeeper Adam Parkes on loan from Watford – remain 15 points and four places behind Weymouth in 22nd.

Stock told Echosport he is looking for a continuation of the winning momentum.

He said: “That’s important, the one word I used in the changing room was ‘relentless’ and then back that up with consistency.

“We need to remember that going into Barnet. Our performances have been very good since the turn of year.

“There have been one or two blips along the way, which is expected. It’s important we pick ourselves up from those disappointments.

“The boys needed that two-week break and they’ve come back fighting fit with two wins.”

Stock is not expecting an easy ride despite Barnet’s league position.

“I don’t think anyone can be taken for granted,” he said.

“I’m pleased we’ve got back-to-back away results. When you go into the calendar with three games in less than a week, that’s a big ask for these players.

“I felt that we looked fresh going into the 90th minute (at Woking) which is a really pleasing sign for me. No-one’s come off with any injury concerns.”

Striker Ben Thomson (groin) will be assessed but Stock confirmed midfielder Joan Luque has left the club.
