WEYMOUTH boss Brian Stock believes striker Andy Dallas will “attract a lot of interest” after his goalscoring exploits for the Terras.

Since joining on loan from Cambridge United in January, Dallas has netted 12 times in 24 appearances.

Rangers academy product Dallas, 21, will play the final game of his loan spell away at Hartlepool United on Saturday (12.30pm).

Asked if he was looking to sign Dallas on a permanent deal in the summer, Stock admitted competition for his signature would be inevitable.

He told Echosport: “A realistic chance of Andy staying here next year?

“I mean, he’s enjoying his football and loves it here.

“But scoring 12 goals is going to attract a lot of interest. I wouldn’t speak on behalf of Cambridge, that’s their business, their player.

“If we were to do any business with them it would be behind closed doors and in a professional way.”

On player talks for next season, Stock added: “We’re speaking to players and we’re looking strong – let’s put it that way.”
