DORCHESTER Town boss Robbie Herrera is close to completing numerous player deals.
Following the easing of lockdown, Dorchester were able to hold meetings with players after three training sessions in April.
Dorchester notified defenders Tiago Sa, Charlie Madden, Ashley Wells, Oakley Hanger and Sam Davidson plus midfielders Billy Lowes, Harry Hodges and Sam Bayston of their intention to offer new deals.
Echosport understands five of those players have agreed deals in principle, with the other three set to tweak terms offered. No contracts have yet been signed.
Herrera has this week been in talks with a centre-back, who has National League experience on his CV, plus a midfielder.

The former Fulham and QPR left-back is also close to completing two loan deals as the Magpies’ squad starts to take shape.
Herrera told Echosport: “I’ve offered them deals and one or two have yet to agree because we’re a little bit apart.
“Touch wood, I’ve got a loanee or two lined up. All being well, I’ll know more next week.
“There’s lots of bits and bobs in the pipeline and we’re looking healthy.
“In principle, all of them that I’ve spoken to have basically said yes, but we just need to sort one or two little bits out, which will be done this week.”
Striker Tom Bath and centre-back Josiah Dunstan remain the only players to have left the Magpies since the 2020/21 was curtailed.
Meanwhile, former Magpies loanee strikers Klaidi Lolos and Rubin Wilson have been released by Plymouth Argyle and remain unattached.
