WEYMOUTH boss Brian Stock has revealed additions to the Terras’ backroom staff will be made on “recommendations”.

Following the season-ending 4-0 loss to Hartlepool in May, head analyst Danny Webb announced his departure after four years at the club.

Strength and conditioning coach Sam Cook also parted ways with the Terras.

While the loss of Webb will be acutely felt, Stock will scan the market based on word of mouth – differing to his recruitment of players.

He told Echosport: “It’s important that you go with recommendations and people you trust.

“We are restricted in terms of recruitment, especially when it comes to staff, because of the demands and sacrifices that we ask.

“We’re not going to be the highest paid in this league.

“When we’re part-time and we have to go away on a Friday, they’re the sacrifices the staff has made to make it a successful year.

“I know 18th position doesn’t sound particularly great to the outside world, but for us that’s success and Danny’s played a massive part.

“It will most likely be done on recommendation and if we can replace Danny with the same work ethic, desire and attitude, I’ll be surprised.

“If we can, that will be a bonus.”

Player recruitment has gone well this summer for Weymouth, with Stock already making 12 signings.

Tom Bearwish, Brad Ash, Brandon Goodship, Gerard Benfield, Ben Morgan, Josh McQuoid, Andy Robinson, Ollie Harfield, Sean Shields, Josh Leslie-Smith, Calvin Brooks and Cameron Murray have all committed.

Stock has also allowed 11 players to leave.
