Excitement is building ahead as England prepares to face Ukraine in the quarter-final match of Euro 2020.

Fans are hoping the team "can give us something to cheer about" when they take on Ukraine in Rome (kick-off 8pm) - as pundits predicted a win for the Three Lions.

As reported, pubs are expected to do a roaring trade as fans flock to bars to watch the match. Venues had a bumper night on Tuesday when fans watched England's historic win against Germany.

Weymouth is expected to be busy as fans head out and watch the match in pubs.

Civic chiefs and police have called for people to 'respect each other' to help make it a 'safe, fun and memorable event'.

To help ensure that the night passes peacefully, additional police units will be visible in many town centres – with officers looking to 'proactively' tackle drink-related anti-social behaviour.

Given the current situation, many people will choose to watch the match at home instead of going out.

England take on Andriy Shevchenko's Ukraine at the Stadio Olimpico tonight but will be doing so largely without support in the stands as Italy remains on the UK's amber list and fans have been urged not to travel.

Former football manager Harry Redknapp is predicting a 3-0 win for England while former England goalkeeper David James said he believes it will be a 2-1 win for the Three Lions.

The game sees the men's team attempt to qualify for their first European Championship semi-final for 25 years.

If the team manage a victory in Rome, they will face either the Czech Republic or Denmark next week.
