BRIDPORT “need a result” against Wellington tonight (7.45pm), Bees’ boss Rob Marquis has admitted.
Winning once in 10 games has left Bridport bottom of the Toolstation Western League Premier Division table.
However, they face a Wellington side who Marquis expects to be within striking distance of a positive result.
He said: “I saw Wellington on Boxing Day and they were probably a team that are in our mini league.
“However, they seem to have picked up a few points. They were certainly down there last season, so they may have bolstered their ranks.
“We’ve got to have a bit about us, we really need to have a go and we need a result.
“We’ve got to go into that game looking to get a positive result.
“We’re bottom again and we’ve got to go out and pick points up. Sometimes it can be too far to get back if you’re not careful.

“Hopefully we’ll put another positive performance on. I’d like to think the lads will go out and give everything. If they do, I can’t ask for more than that.”
Malakai Stanners and striker Christian Blango are doubts.
