WEYMOUTH chairman Ian White has hailed the role of commercial guru Mark Palmer in the Terras’ renaissance off the pitch.
Palmer, also a non-executive director at the Bob Lucas Stadium, has been instrumental in securing deals for new home and away kit sponsors.
His work, along with the board of directors, has enabled Weymouth to augment their finances in order to boost resources available to manager Brian Stock.
White told Echosport: “The commercial side of the club is now starting to look quite incredible.
“We’ve introduced Mark slowly, he’s worked behind the scenes and we’ve had to get people to believe he was the right person to do this – he certainly is.
“I’m really, really pleased with what he’s managed to bring to the club.
“I’ve got a brilliant team and Mark has been quite exceptional. I mustn’t forget the rest of the board because we’ve got some tremendous people involved.”
