DORCHESTER Town will not play Truro City after their fixture was postponed as a direct result of the fuel crisis sweeping Britain.

Robbie Herrera's Magpies were scheduled to travel to Bolitho Park tomorrow (7.45pm) for the Pitching In Southern League Premier South clash.

However, the contest is one of seven currently announced as postponed by Southern League officials.

The other six are, at the time of writing: Hendon v Chesham; Tamworth v Hitchin; Banbury v Biggleswade; Lymington v Larkhall; Bideford v Frome and Berkhamstead v Bedford.

A new date for fulfilment of the match is yet to be announced.

Dorchester were hoping to claim their second away win of the season and elevate themselves from 19th, with Truro in 11th.

The contest was set to pit Herrera and Plymouth Argyle legend Paul Wotton against each other.

The duo, old friends, worked together at the Pilgrims as recently as 2019, while Wotton was assistant at Home Park and Herrera worked as a development coach.

Dorchester players Billy Lowes, Ash Wells and Harry Burns (both hamstring) were doubts but Tiago Sa (head) was expected to play.

Dorchester's next game is on Saturday at home to Gosport (3pm).
