DORCHESTER Ladies have returned to the Dorset Women’s League for the 2021/22 season following a short break in the team’s proud history.

With ambitions to create a new successful ladies team for the county town, the players and manager Graham Stoker are also keen to provide a pathway to adult football for the many girls already playing in Dorchester, and are delighted to be working closely with Dorchester Town Youth FC.

The Magpies have already begun brightly, beating rivals Weymouth 3-2 courtesy of a Claire Bagwell hat-trick ahead of a trip to Poole Town Ladies on Sunday (2pm).

After launching open training sessions in the summer, numbers grew quickly and players old and new joined the team, forming a strong bond both on and off the pitch in the lead up to the new season.
