DORCHESTER Town have decided against extending the loan spell of Bristol Rovers striker Kieran Phillips.

Phillips, 19, shot to prominence for the Magpies when scoring a brace on his Dorchester debut, helping give the county town side a 2-0 win over Walton Casuals.

However, Phillips did not score in his remaining appearances.

Together with the sacking of Robbie Herrera, the manager that brought him to the Avenue, Dorchester have opted not to call on his services.

In a brief statement on social media, Dorchester confirmed Phillips had returned to the Memorial Stadium.

“We thank Kieran for his efforts while at the club - including that debut double in the win against Walton Casuals last month - and wish him all the best for the future,” their statement read.
