DORCHESTER Sports’ manager Ashley James insists confidence is at an all-time high ahead of hosting Holt United at the Avenue Stadium today (2pm).

Sports have won all five of their home games this season and are on a four-match winning streak in the Jewson Dorset Premier League.

Their efforts have propelled them into fifth, although Holt are close behind in sixth.

James told Echosport: “We’re in very good form and since we’ve been in the DPL this is the most confident we’ve ever been as a group.

“The run of five games has been impressive with some of the goals we’ve scored. We’re hardly conceding at the other end.

“Since that wobble at Ham Rec we’ve got together, sorted a few things out and it’s all been really positive.

“We’re looking forward to every game and Holt will be no different.

“To have a good season you have to do well at home, there’s no doubt, because away games in the DPL are difficult.”

Liam O’Shaughnessy (hand) is expected to miss out for between four and six weeks after surgery.

Gareth Will and Sam Buckler (both groin) will not return before the New Year with their injuries.

New signing Caleb Tennant is expected to play but the game comes too soon for fellow new recruit Bailey McNamara (foot).
