BRIAN Churchill heaped praise on Dorchester Town’s two-goal winger Billy Stedman after the Magpies beat Harrow Borough 3-1 at the Avenue Stadium.
Stedman’s brace came after Oakley Hanger had fired the hosts into a second-minute lead and helped Dorchester erase a Thiago Caze da Silva own goal.
The efforts of Stedman – his first goals at Dorchester – gave his new side a third straight home league win.
“Billy’s different to what we’ve got,” Churchill told the Magpies’ media team.
“He’s a really technical player, predominantly (with his) left foot and can beat a player at the drop of a hat.

“Billy had 60 minutes for the 23s and that game served him well to come in and get his goals.
“Both his goals were from set-pieces, a well-worked corner that we’ve practised – that was nice that it came off. Straight off the training ground. Then the second one was an inswinging corner and the keeper couldn’t deal with it.”
