WEYMOUTH have named vice-chairman Paul Maitland as their interim manager.

It comes after the departure of Brian Stock, who left with Weymouth in 21st and in the relegation zone after seven league losses in a row.

Sean O'Driscoll, who was only contracted to the end of January, and Stock's number two Louis Langdown have also left the Terras.

Maitland has good experience of affairs on the touchline, spending time as assistant to Mark Molesley and fulfilling a caretaker role with the ex-Terras legend in 2017.

He also had a spell in the dugout with former boss Jason Matthews.

Maitland will be assisted by captain Josh McQuoid and the remainder of the club's coaching staff, including goalkeeping coach Matthews.
