AFC BOURNEMOUTH youngster Brennan Camp has completed a short-term loan move to National League Eastleigh.

The 21-year-old right-back excelled during a loan spell with fellow non-league outfit Weymouth last season, making 34 appearances and scoring once in a 4-0 win at home to Wealdstone.

Dorset-raised Camp also played 10 times for Dorchester Town in the 2018/19 season.

Camp will act as short-term cover for the Spitfires following the departure of Josh Hare to Dagenham & Redbridge, who was in his second spell at the Silverlake Stadium.

The promising full-back was given his senior debut by head coach Scott Parker this season during a heavy EFL Cup defeat to Premier League Norwich City, before appearing as a late substitute in the FA Cup versus Yeovil Town.

On completing the move, Camp said: "Yeah I’m really happy to be here to be fair.

"I played for Weymouth last season in this league and I really enjoyed it so hopefully I can come here, keep my place in the team and help the team bounce back from the recent run of form. Hopefully I’ll start tomorrow night."

Camp is a product of the Cherries’ academy system, having come through the under-18 and under-23 age groups after spending over a decade with the club.

Camp made 54 appearances for the Terras across two loan spells, and is a former Scotland youth international.

He is the grandson of Bristol City legend and former Manchester City midfielder Gerry Gow.
