A BUSY Spring weekend is in the cards for Dorchester Rugby Club with all three senior men’s teams in action.

Dorchester's first team head to current Tribute Southern Counties South league leaders Salisbury (3pm).

In the reverse fixture, Salisbury came out on top but, after the 24-21 win against Yeovil, Dorchester will believe they have the ability to win.

The county town outfit sit fifth in the table with three games left all against the sides above them.

Following Dorchester’s that hard fought win over close rivals Yeovil last time out, head coach Josh Ovey told his team after the match they had secured their shirts for the next game having put in a huge effort to secure the result.

With three enforced changes to his squad, George Foot steps back into the centre, Brad Mullins returns to the second row and Ovey himself moves to the back row to join the evergreen Tom Gower.

Tristan Walters makes the move up to the first team after impressing in Ovey with his commitment in training and his recent second-team performances, he takes a place on the bench with regulars Joe Underhill and Adam Makepeace.

In their final game of the Tribute Dorset & Wilts Two South campaign, Dorchester's A XV welcome Swanage & Wareham Seconds to Surcouf Park for the 3pm kick-off.

Captain Matt Fry picks a strong squad for the game with Joe Prior coming back into the front row to join Tom Louch and Liam Stocke, along with Laurence Burch teaming up with Warren Harding in the second row.

Rob Parker continues his fine form at fly-half with Xavier Peer making his last appearance for the team before moving away.

Dorchester's Gladiators XV also have a game at Surcouf Park on Saturday against Ellingham & Ringwood Thirds (2.30pm).

Captain Tony O’Connell picks his usual mix of experience and youth in his team with some players heading back from injury in time for the last two games of the season.
