WEYMOUTH have paid tribute to former chairman Terry Bennett, who recently passed away aged 78 after a long illness.
Bennett became chairman at the Terras in 2001 before quitting in 2003 and is credited with bringing the club out of a financial mire.
Bennett also founded the eponymous and famous fish and chip shop on Weymouth harbourside.
Terras chairman Ian White issued a statement paying his respects via social media this morning.
