DORSET star Brennan Camp has signed a permanent deal at Vanarama National League club Eastleigh.

Camp, 21, reunites with previous Terras boss and current Eastleigh assistant Brian Stock, who brought the full-back to Weymouth on loan from Bournemouth.

Across two loan spells at Weymouth, the defender played 54 times.

Portland-born Camp played 15 times for Eastleigh on loan before rejecting an offer to stay at Bournemouth in the summer.

And Stock, along with Spitfires' manager Lee Bradbury, has moved to secure the highly-rated right-back's services.

Speaking to Eastleigh's official website, Camp said: “It feels really good. I’ve had a lot to think about over the summer, but I’m happy to back here now, signed on.

“I’m just raring to go for the new season, looking forward to being back here, improving as a player and I’m looking forward to getting started.

“I sort of had a few conversations with the manager during the end of last season, and he’s always made it clear that he wanted me for the next season.

“It’s always been in the back of my mind and in the end it was sort of a no-brainer.

"I loved my time here last season. I feel like I improved, played a lot of games, and hopefully that continues.”

Camp has also enjoyed a ten-game loan spell at Dorchester in 2018/19 under Steve Thompson and was heavily involved in the Mark Molesley era at Weymouth.

He then bravely opted to end his 14-year stay at Cherries in search of regular football.

Camp is a former Scotland under-19 international and is the grandson of Bristol City legend and former Manchester City midfielder Gerry Gow.
