WEYMOUTH boss David Oldfield has confirmed the exit of goalkeeper Bert White.

White, 18, struggled in his three competitive games for the Terras, shipping nine goals in three matches.

Weymouth unveiled the loan signing of fellow 18-year-old Billy Terrell from Bournemouth before the 3-1 loss to Chelmsford.

And Oldfield expressed gratitude to White for his endeavours with the club.

He told Echosport: "Bert has left the club and Billy has come in.

"Billy is one of the talented boys from Bournemouth, who have promise and exciting futures ahead of them.

"It's an opportunity for them to get the experience of what they needed.

"From our point of view, not just the loan boys, we all have to learn quickly and make sure the ingredients of our group is exactly what we need.

"The facts are, with the importance lying with the club itself and making sure it's the main priority, we need to pull ourselves together on the pitch to deliver better results than we're doing.

"Billy will be a big part of that. The reality is we've made the change and we're looking forward to working with Billy and all the boys.

"We certainly take this opportunity to wish Bert all the best going forwards. He's a very talented young keeper that I think will do better and flourish the more he plays.

"Circumstances dictated that we made a change and we're pleased Billy's here."
