WEYMOUTH have issued a lengthy update on a number of talking points at the Bob Lucas Stadium.

On the playing side, as reported by Echosport last week, the Terras have been renegotiating terms with three players.

These can now be revealed to be George Ward, who has signed dual forms at Southern League Central side Barwell, Jack Seddon and Claudio Ofosu.

Seddon missed the 0-0 draw with Hemel Hempstead due to injury and Ofosu is "considering his options".

All three players have non-contract deals and are free to move elsewhere.

Accommodation used to house some players, not bound by contracts, has been removed to save money.

Echosport understands Ahkeem Rose remains provided for with accommodation under his terms with the Terras.

Acting CEO Paul Maitland also handed out the latest news on a range of other subjects.

In a club statement, he said: "Following my previous update two weeks ago, I would like to issue a further update about our position.

"I have read some of the speculation around the composition of the squad and the comings and goings that have happened. Albert White left following the arrival of Billy Terrell, George Ward has gone on a dual registration with Barwell and Jack Seddon missed the (Hemel) game through illness.

"In addition, Ahkeem Rose and Harrison Bruton both remain sidelined through injury. Claudio Ofosu is considering his options as a non-contracted player.

"As part of the club's realignment of its finances, unfortunately those non-contracted players have been affected and may have to move on.

"The accommodation which wasn't part of players agreements has been removed which has made a significant monthly saving.

"David (Oldfield, manager) has been given a revised maximum budget for both the playing squad and his staff and is up to him to use as he sees fit.

"Squads naturally evolve over a season and, as an example, both our promotion winning season's squads were quite different to those we started with.

"Off the pitch, we continue to strive forward and the position is a far more stable one, again if we want to improve we need to generate more money to enable us to fund that.

"Tonight we have a meeting with the Supporters Association with this subject high on the agenda. We are hoping to host a sportsman evening at the club towards the end of October, details to follow.

"I am also in discussion with David around an evening with the fans which we are trying to arrange imminently.

"In the boardroom, meetings have been arranged with potential new directors and once we are in a position to announce we will of course do so.

"Commercially, we are working on a few ideas that we hope will entice sponsors into the club. Please keep supporting the club and team as best you can. We can all make a difference."
