The countdown is on for this year's Weymouth Beach Motocross.
It will once again return on Sunday, October 9 when the pristine sands of Weymouth Beach will be transformed into a motocross course, complete with bumps and jumps and all the thrills and spills of the race.
Giant diggers will construct sand jumps and three different classes of riders will do two races each.
This event attracts thousands of spectators and some of the best riders in the world. Riders of all abilities, a superb location and setting, combine to make this event one of the most sought after and most eagerly awaited events on Weymouth’s tourist calendar.
It comes to the resort courtesy of Weymouth & Portland Lions Club and Purbeck Motocross Club.
This full afternoon of exciting races is free to watch. There will also be stalls and a fairground along the promenade.
Practice starts at 12 noon and racing begins at 1pm.
