DORCHESTER Town have been handed an away draw in the FA Trophy third qualifying round.

Glenn Howes' Magpies will face a familiar foe in Plymouth Parkway, who succumbed to a 3-1 defeat at the Avenue Stadium earlier this season.

The duo both play in the Pitching In Southern League Premier South, with Dorchester in eighth and Parkway in 22nd and bottom.

Dorchester last reached the first round proper in the curtailed 2020/21 campaign before losing 3-2 to Swindon Supermarine.

Back in the 2018/19 season, Dorchester made it to the second round and nearly caused an upset at National League side Barnet before going down to a 2-1 defeat.

Winners of the tie receive £2,450 while the losers net £625.

The game is scheduled for Saturday, October 8 but will be subject to change after Truro City, who also play at Bolitho Park, were drawn at home to Salisbury.
