DORCHESTER Town boss Glenn Howes says the Magpies will do “everything in our power” to arrest a run of four straight losses when Harrow Borough visit the Avenue Stadium tomorrow (3pm).

Howes’ men have lost three straight Pitching In Southern Premier League South matches plus an FA Cup second qualifying round tie at Swindon Supermarine.

Dorchester continue their league schedule against a Harrow side with back-to-back victories, Billy Leonard scoring all four goals across those two wins.

And Howes is expecting a big response from the Magpies to reverse their slide in form.

He told Echosport: “It’s not going to be an easy game but we’ll dust ourselves down.

“We’ll regroup and be ready. We certainly can’t feel sorry for ourselves, we have to force the issue even more.

“We’ve never been used to losing.

We’ve had a catalogue of losses, which is difficult to rectify.

“You get used to winning and I certainly don’t want to get used to losing. We’ll do everything in our power as a team, as a club, to turn these results around.

“The performances are not far off but the mentality and the psychological element needs to change.”

On Harrow, Howes added: “They’ve got players in, they’ve strengthened and found areas they need to improve on.

“We’ve seen that and that’s been pivotal in Harrow’s results turning around.

“They’re a very front-footed side so I feel it will be an entertaining game but we’re hopeful it will swing our side.”

Shaq Gwengwe (ankle) is likely to feature, while Mike Lilley in is contention after playing in Dorchester Town under-23s’ win over Weymouth on Wednesday.
