DORCHESTER Town goalkeeper Brad Snelling has joined Brockenhurst on dual registration terms.

Snelling was initially signed by boss Glenn Howes as Dorchester's number one keeper this season before sustaining a concussion injury at Truro.

That allowed the Magpies to sign teenage star Harry Lee on loan from Exeter, a deal that developed into a season-long arrangement as the 17-year-old flourished.

Snelling, who has played twice for the Magpies this season, will consequently get his chance for more minutes at Wessex League Premier side Brockenhurst, the Badgers sitting 12th in the division.

Dorchester first-team coach Brian Churchill told Echosport: "Brad’s been really unfortunate. I know Glenn’s signed him to be our number one for the season and Glenn really thought highly of him.

“It’s just that injury, we had to get somebody in and that’s developed into the opportunity to get Harry for the season.

“That was too good an opportunity for Glenn to turn down. The consequence of that is Brad’s had to look for game time elsewhere.

“He’s still dual-registered with us, so at any time we can call on his services, which is nice.”
